Heavenly Father,
On this Thanksgiving Day,
we pause to give You thanks for the countless blessings You have poured into our lives.
For the gift of life, the beauty of creation, and the love of family and friends, we are grateful.
You are the Giver of every good gift.
Help us to see Your hand at work in the harvest of the land,
in the food upon our tables, and in the peace and safety we enjoy in this country.
May our gratitude move us to generosity, remembering those who are hungry, lonely, or in need.
May we share not only our abundance, but also our time, kindness, and mercy.
We thank You especially for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ— our Redeemer and Lord—
who nourishes us with His Body and Blood and calls us to walk in love.
Bless this day, O Lord, bless those we gather with, and those we carry in our hearts.
May our thanksgiving rise to You as a fragrant offering of praise.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
