DAY 9
THE LAST SEVEN WORDS OF CHRIST
WORD 5: HUMANITY
Jesus' humanity connects deeply with our experiences of pain, joy, struggle, and basic needs, exemplified by His own physical thirst on the cross. His suffering mirrors our own, making His divine consolation more relatable. Through His thirst, we understand our own spiritual and physical longings for relief and righteousness.
How can I, following Jesus' example, show compassion and support to those who are physically or spiritually thirsty in my community?
Lord Jesus, as You thirsted on the cross, we recognize our own deep thirsts—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Help us to find solace and satisfaction in You, the Living Water. Inspire us to meet the needs of those who thirst in our world today, reflecting Your compassion and love. Amen.
